Ustad Roshan Ali Khan, a superb sarangi player from Bihar, was born in Patna in 1944. He is the son of the tabla player Mohammed Dilavar Khan. He learned sarangi from his maternal grandfather Ata Hussain Khan, the son of Bahadur Khan.
Jayanta Banerjee is a succuessful sitarist, musician, and composer. He started his training under Guru Pandit Rabi Chakraborty, and through the years Jayanta has evolved as an accompanist, soloist, and composer amalgamating classical and world music. He has performed extensively in India and in the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
Hiranmay Mitra received his BA in Indian vocal classical music at Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata. There, he studied vocal music with Pandit A. Kanan and tabla with Pandit Sanjay Mukherjee. He has performed in many Indian and international conferences, accompanying top musicians, including Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty.
Chaz Hastings is a prominent performer and teacher of tabla in the Pacific Northwest (USA). His passion for tabla has taken him to India numerous times, where he studied with some of the world's top musicians. He has performed widely within the US and India, as an accompanyist and a soloist.
