Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Nagma Live?
Nagma Live is a mobile app for iOS and Android designed to help musicians practice Indian classical music with high-quality nagma and lehra accompaniment. It supports multiple ragas, taals, and instruments including sarangi, sitar, and harmonium.
2. Who is Nagma Live for?
This app is ideal for tabla players, Kathak dancers, instrumentalists, and vocalists looking to elevate their solo practice with professional lehra loops and tabla theka patterns.
3. Why are some nagmas out of sync or not matching the beats?
We are aware of timing mismatches in some tracks (such as Teen Taal in Chandrakauns) and are actively working to correct these in upcoming updates. Please feel free to send detailed examples to support@nagmalive.com so we can prioritize fixes.
4. Can I request new ragas, taals, or instruments?
Yes! We love community suggestions. Popular user requests include Charukeshi, Gaud Malhar, Bhairav, Dadra, and more. We're continually adding to the catalog based on feedback.
5. Why does the app sometimes crash or freeze?
Crashes may occur due to device compatibility or OS version mismatches. We recommend updating your app and OS to the latest versions. If the issue persists, please contact us with your device details at support@nagmalive.com.
6. Can I transfer my purchase to a new device?
Absolutely. Just use the “Restore” option in the app on the Subscription page or on the paywall while logged into the same Apple or Google account. If you face any issues, email us with your purchase receipt and account details.
7. How do I fix the “Restore Purchases” message that won’t go away?
This may be due to connectivity or account sync issues. Try restarting your device and checking your App Store login. If the problem continues, contact us so we can verify and reactivate your license.
8. Does the app support beat count or metronome features?
Not yet—but we’re actively working on adding beat counters, cycle counts, and a metronome function in future updates based on user demand.
9. Will you add volume controls for tabla, lehra, and tanpura separately?
This is already available! Check out this video to learn more.
10. Why isn’t the tanpura sound consistent?
Some users have experienced staccato playback or pitch shifts. We're working on improving the tanpura sample quality and playback engine to ensure a smooth and realistic sound.
11. Is Ableton Link or Audiobus integration supported?
Not currently, but this is a high-priority feature for pro users. We’re exploring integration with Ableton Link, Audiobus, and Loopy for syncing Nagma Live with your broader audio workflow.
12. How often is Nagma Live updated?
While updates are not weekly, we are actively working on both bug fixes and content expansion (new ragas, taals, and features). Your reviews and emails directly impact our development priorities.
13. How can I get help or support?
Please email us anytime at support@nagmalive.com. We aim to respond within 2–3 business days. If you don't hear back, check your spam folder or resend your query.
